We are Don and Narcing...
 We
met here in Southern California, at work and one thing led to
another. We were married almost three years ago, and we have been
back to the Philippines FOUR times in the first two years.
Each time I go we stay longer and longer in Bohol. I have begun to
love the people, the lifestyle, and the country. The image of the
Philippines is typically not very well portrayed.
Unfortunately, the only image we get here in the states is
provided by the media, and its usually of Manila. The provinces -
especially Bohol are beautiful, safe and the people are wonderful.
It would be unfair to judge California just by what you see on the news,
and experience in downtown. We have plans to build a retirement
home in Valencia, and establish some cottage industry for our family in
